"Boys See It Differently Than Girls" is an original comedy about people in contemporary Prague who, at various stages of life, try to understand who they are, what they really want, and whether they have fulfilled their dreams. The film, with humor, rawness, and perspective, reflects intergenerational relationships, identity crisis, and the pressure of consumer culture, delivering a series of unexpected twists.
In the story, Prague is a city of seven bridges that connect shores and human destinies - a pulsing place where one can be surrounded by people yet painfully alone. In its rhythm, the lives of seven characters intersect: Martina, Kamila, Dana, Romana, Karel, Marek, and Emma. Each stands at a different point in life and carries their own ideas about happiness, love, and fulfillment - and gradually discovers how far these ideas have drifted from reality.
The mosaic-like narrative follows their encounters and near-misses, intimate moments and crucial decisions. Relationships form, fall apart, and redefine themselves, with Prague serving as both backdrop and active agent in their inner transformations. With subtle irony and observational humor, the film explores what remains of our dreams when facing the compromises of adulthood - and whether it is still possible to change direction.
