LiStOVáNí.cz: Špeky (Rob Grant)

A humorous story by the author of Red Dwarf about the difficult lives of overweight people - and sometimes everyone else. The protagonists are a chef who can no longer bear to look at himself because he is extremely obese, and a woman with anorexia who cannot look at herself because she feels disgustingly fat.

This is not a story about fat people, but about how sensitive this topic is for society as a whole. Grant has mixed in a generous dose of his dark humor, so you might just hold your sides laughing - if only because of the line "There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics!"

Starring Pavel Oubram and Věra Hollá (Kamila Janovičová). The book was published in 2008 by Argo Publishers in a translation by David Petrů.
