Birds in Art and Our Landscape

The exhibition "Bird Builders" will be complemented by a lecture series that presents the world of birds from different perspectives - through art and the changes in our landscape.

The first lecture by MgA. Daniel Razim, titled "Birds in the Realm of Art", will connect the world of birds with human creativity. The lecture will guide through history, artistic styles and various cultures, showing why birds became muses for painters, poets and contemporary creators.

In the second part of the evening, Viktor Bečvář will take the floor with a lecture "Bird Stories of Our Landscape". Birds are important indicators of the state of nature - through the stories of several species, the lecture will introduce the diverse ecosystems of our landscape. You will learn how they have changed over recent decades, which habitats are disappearing, what new threats birds face and what opportunities their protection and restoration offer, including examples that the return of life to the landscape is possible.

The lectures will take place in the museum's cultural hall - the stable - in two consecutive blocks:
- 17:30 - Birds in the Realm of Art (MgA. Daniel Razim)
- 18:30 - Bird Stories of Our Landscape (Viktor Bečvář)
