Pastoral Variations

The Epochal Dances ensemble presents Pastoral Variations, a performance that transports audiences to the court of Louis XIV. The programme features reconstructions of celebrated choreographies by French dance masters alongside contemporary works created by artistic director Veronika Rehberger, all crafted according to period conventions and principles.

The dance numbers are complemented by solo musical interludes performed by cellist Helena Matyášová. The programme includes works by J. S. Bach, G. F. Handel, A. Campra, and F. Couperin.
