Without spoken word

Fire is the engine and instrument of transformation: burning, destruction, rebirth. Phoenix.Sun is a choreographic exploration of the influences and aesthetics of this element. The project emerged from a profound personal and professional crisis the artist experienced two years ago, which forced her to reconsider the role of art in her life. The experience of burnout led her to ground her practice in a deep inner imperative, while also wanting to give it a social dimension - to create new working methods that open perspectives on sustainability, teamwork, and the renewal of artistic inspiration and the vitality of the dancing body.

The concept was inspired by the methodology and philosophy of Polish multidisciplinary artist Władysław Hasior, Italian artist Pier Paolo Pasolini, and pyrofeminism. It is an attempt to confront and transform reality in flames and the world in environmental, political, and sociocultural crisis. Together with invited collaborators, the artist explores the duality of flames - their creative and destructive power - and develops techniques that evoke emotional landscapes and affective states, creating lasting resonance in the viewer's body and imagination.

Phoenix.Sun was created during a residency at Studio Hrdinů in July 2026 and will premiere in August 2026 at the Tanz im August festival in Berlin.
