Dalai Lama – Ocean of Wisdom

The word dalai lama means ocean of wisdom. The 14th Dalai Lama, Tenzin Gyatso, is the most significant spiritual representative of Tibet and one of the most prominent figures of the contemporary world.

The documentary film "Ocean of Wisdom" compiles footage with the Dalai Lama from 1991 to 2022. It conveys his message in the areas of secular ethics, non-religious spirituality, the development of inner peace, loving-kindness, and the transformation of education with an emphasis on inner values and work with the mind and emotions. The film also traces the Dalai Lama's life story, complemented by memories of his mother.

The visual component creates a panorama of all of Tibet – its landscapes and people. Viewers will see the most significant places, rare and almost unknown rituals and celebrations.
