In the Footsteps of Cubism

Cubism appeared in art for only a brief period, but left an indelible mark.

On this walk, participants will learn what led to the Czech Republic holding the world's leading position in cubist architecture. The route follows Rašín Embankment and continues into the city centre, ending at the House of the Black Madonna.

What you will discover on the walk:
- what sparked the emergence of this unique style
- why Rašín Embankment has so many cubist buildings
- who lived in these houses and what connected these people
- information about architect Otakar Novotný, one of the creators of cubist architecture

The walk can be concluded with a visit to a cubist café and the Museum of Cubism.

Meeting point: on the pavement opposite the Výtoň tram stop, direction towards Prague
