FRAS: Cosmonauts

On November 5, 1993, over 500 people gathered on the Icelandic glacier Snæfellsjökull expecting the arrival of extraterrestrials. As evening turned to night and no one landed, the disappointed crowd headed home — except for one. Örlygur decided to dedicate his life to searching for a new extraterrestrial entity. The question remains: do the aliens want to come to our planet, or do they want to leave it?

This production is based on this real event and explores environmental issues and global warming from a fresh perspective. It combines puppet theatre with projection and video mapping; the puppets are made from edible vegan material.
