Invoking Saint Hildegard with Song and Glass Harp

Vida Vojić invokes the spirit of Saint Hildegard through singing her medieval choral works, accompanied by a glass harp, delicate electronic sounds, spatial feedback, and light design. Hildegard of Bingen was a visionary Benedictine abbess and mystic from the Rhineland, living in the Holy Roman Empire in the 12th century - renowned as a composer, preacher, writer, theologian, artist, dramatist, herbalist, and scholar.

At the festival, Vida Vojić presents a theatrical solo performance that tells the story of Hildegard's life and her spiritual visions.

The performance is predominantly musical. The spoken part is in English with a brief summary in Czech, with no age restrictions.
