Jan Štifter: The Snow Collector - Following the Novel's Traces

Writer Jan Štifter will guide participants through the world of his novel "The Snow Collector", which won the Czech Book - Readers' Choice award in 2019.

The event traces the vanished Old Town caught between Pražská, Staroměstská and Staré Pekárenská streets. Štifter will present the legendary Šmídovna and explore the history of a suburb older than České Budějovice itself.
