Orpheus lost Eurydice. But what did Eurydice lose?
The most famous love story of ancient myth becomes here a confession of loss. When does the time come to descend into the underworld, and must it truly come? Is it possible to love a person even when they are no longer with us? Music and word intertwine on a journey between life and death, leading toward reconciliation - where the muse falls silent, sorrow finds a voice.
**A staged concert for two voices seeks through live-sung arias a way out of despair. This is the second part of the theatrical cycle Virtues and Vices.**
Music: Giulio Caccini, Johann Adolf Hasse, Giovanni Battista Pergolesi, Henry Purcell, Antonio Vivaldi, Christoph Willuck Gluck, Giovanni Battista Bassani, Claudio Monteverdi and Mario Buzzi
