Olé Fest is a gastro-cultural festival with a Spanish theme, held in Ostrava for the third time on 20 June from 15:00. This year it moves outdoors to Tyršova Street, right in front of the LaPeCo restaurant: the street will be closed to traffic and open for music, dance, and street food.

The programme features guests from Spain: Adán Sánchez Band, flamenco dancer Iveta Rivero, guitarist Dario Piga, singer Soledad La Paloma, and the fashion show Ňu Fešn Šopa. DJ Sanmiguelito will host the evening. The programme also includes workshops.

The gastronomic offer includes fresh paella, Spanish street food, traditional jamón carving, sangria, and Spanish wines.

About the venue: La Petite Conversation

La Petite Conversation - known as Lapeco - is a Belgian café and restaurant on Tyršova Street in central Ostrava. Belgian David Girten opened it over fifteen years ago as a small sandwich shop and gradually grew it into a full restaurant with catering. The menu changes weekly and always features Belgian staples like boulets-frites and moelleux au chocolat; once a month the venue hosts gastro-cultural theme evenings.

Czech dancer Iveta Rivero is the force behind the FlamenCzech brand and the Brno ensemble Pueblo Flamenco. Her shows blend traditional flamenco forms with her own choreography, and she regularly invites audiences to join hands-on workshops.

About: Dario Piga

Dario Piga is a Sardinian flamenco guitarist based in Brno, Czech Republic, whose playing blends flamenco with rock and world music influences. He trained at the Fundación Cristina Hereen academy in Seville and earned his official flamenco guitar diploma from the Conservatory of Seville in 2010. In 2009 he won the critics' prize at the Andrea Parodi international competition in Sardinia. He has been active in the Czech music scene since 2012, including work on the musical Zorro at Brno's Městské Divadlo.
