DONOR 15 Years (+ Motorband, Rimortis, Vanaheim)
KD Brumov-Bylnice, Brumov-Bylnice
The Wallachian band DONOR celebrates 15 years since its formation with a music-packed evening on 13 March 2027 at the Brumov-Bylnice Cultural Centre. This special concert will map the band's entire history, featuring a female vocal choir and the Oderberg Quartett string quartet, which has previously accompanied artists like Věra Špinarová. Legendary guests MOTORBAND, fresh from celebrating 40 years on stage, will perform alongside RIMORTIS and VANAHEIM, two stalwarts of the Czech metal scene.
DONOR formed from 2012 onwards and will perform this anniversary concert at the same venue where two years ago they held a sold-out album release for "Jeviště snů". The band has prepared an extended setlist featuring both established songs and older material; the exact programme remains a surprise, enhanced by the string quartet and vocal choir.
MOTORBAND, led by Libor "Máči" Matejčík, celebrated 40 years on stage last year. With vocalist Petr Kutheil and the album 007, the band - completed by Karel Adam, Vojta Brázda and Tobias Eykma - confirms it is in full force and will deliver a rock show with their greatest hits in Brumov-Bylnice.
Power metal band RIMORTIS was formed in 1999 and has released 10 studio albums, most recently "Pán skal", which they are currently touring. VANAHEIM, a sought-after band playing Viking metal in recent years, will perform songs from their current album "Devět světů" and older material from their more than ten-year career.
The programme includes an organized meet-and-greet with all bands, merchandise sales, food and drink, arranged taxi services, cloakroom, a competition for merchandise vouchers at the DONOR stand, limited-edition event t-shirts and new anniversary t-shirt designs, plus a DONOR newsletter, photo wall and a band history overview.
The Cultural Centre opens at 17:00; fans are advised to arrive early for smooth entry. For visitors from out of town, accommodation is available in nearby towns (Brumov-Bylnice, Valašské Klobouky, Slavičín, Luhačovice, Vsetín, Zlín) in hotels and hostels.
