Trojský Zámek and Its Garden — Bus Stop Barrandov Film Studios, Prague

On the banks of the Vltava River stands an impressive Baroque residence that once occupied extensive grounds with farm buildings, including stables. The castle was accompanied by vineyards and a chapel of St. Clare, now part of the Botanical Garden, and part of the original estate is now occupied by Prague Zoo. Few buildings have influenced castle architecture in Bohemia as much as Troja.

Participants will visit both the castle and its garden, which remains open until 19:00 - after the tour, you can stay in the garden. You will learn who commissioned and who built Trojský Zámek, whether it is a castle or a Roman-style villa and why, who contributed to its artistic decoration, what the apotheosis of the Habsburgs looks like in the main hall, what can be seen at the main double staircase, and where the Titans were thrown after being defeated by the Olympian gods.

Meeting point is at the Prague Zoo - Troja bus stop (buses 112, 234). Admission is 250 CZK for adults and 200 CZK for students and pensioners; castle entry (200 CZK adults, 90 CZK students and pensioners) is paid on site. The tour lasts 1.5 hours and is led by Dana Kratochvílová.

Tickets on site can only be purchased if capacity is not full - current availability should be confirmed with the organizer. The organizer reserves the right to cancel the tour if there is insufficient interest; in such cases, ticket holders will be notified and refunds will be made to their account.
