Between newlyweds, sparks truly fly, whether they're arguing or making love
The honeymoon is over. Young newlyweds Victoria and Paul embark on the long journey of everyday married life: their first night together in a tiny, unfurnished apartment on the fifth floor with no elevator, no bed, a leaking roof, drafts, and broken heating. While she in lace negligée tackles spaghetti with seafood sauce, he is preoccupied with a legal case that has just been entrusted to him as a fledgling lawyer.
Soon two new characters enter the story: their neighbour Hector, an exotic ladies' man, and Victoria's conservative mother Ester, who is rekindled by maternal love. The marriage undergoes a true baptism by fire.
