Dramaturg Intervenes: A Man with Bad Word Order

To close Season 51, the HaDivadlo collective presents a staged reading of a brand-new play by Jana Vaverkova and Robin Mayer.

"Dramaturg Intervenes: A Man with Bad Word Order" unfolds in a radio studio without funding or a sound engineer – everything is created "on air", live on the spot. A traditional detective play begins to fall apart, and the characters, circumstances, and life itself are given space to reveal themselves in their unvarnished form.

The long-standing narrowness of public broadcasting is embodied in a dramaturg who tries his best, but the plot, characters, and the very essence constantly slip away from him – until in desperation he decides to stop everything. Yet here he is betrayed by his own inner child. The play asks whether there is still room for decency today, or whether truth belongs only to the loudest voice.
