The literary canon is full. We need to eliminate the weakest. Mark the enemy. Strike out the unsuitable character. But who will it be?

Prosecution. Defence. Execution.

Characters from Czech literary works gather to decide who among them no longer deserves to be part of the canon. The trial has its rules, and each character plays a role — defence, witnesses, the accused. It seems simple.

Who will sacrifice others to save themselves? Who will give themselves up? And who will point the finger first? Seemingly innocent remarks sharpen and find their target — there is nothing personal in it, even when language becomes a fist, a collar, or an electric chair. The audience is invited to participate: as a jury, as silence.
