The 1920s - A Social, Sexual and Fashion Revolution — Gallery ONE ONE, Prague

A lecture by collector Anežka Tara Znamenáčková takes place on October 13 at 7 p.m. at Gallery ONE ONE. Znamenáčková owns the Prague vintage shop Aristokrat Vintage, which specializes in antique women's fashion from 1860-1960.

The lecture explores the 1920s - an era when, after World War I, women gained the right to work, vote, and live more freely. Some went even further, experimenting with tattoos, piercings, mesh clothing, dog collars, and casual sex. The lecture demonstrates that many seemingly modern phenomena have roots going back exactly 100 years.

The event is part of the exhibition 1. REPUBLIC & ART DECO, which includes photographer Angelo Purgert's photo project, Aristokrat Vintage's antique fashion exhibition, and the Coffee Museum Alchymista exhibition. The exhibition was created in collaboration with photographer Angelo Purgert and with the support of the Czech Ministry of Culture; the project also has a charitable dimension.

Places are limited.
