Madremonte
In a land called Colombia lies a mysterious place where mountains touch the sky. There all waters are born, and with them all life - and the people there tell of the almighty Madremonte, mother of nature, who cares, loves, but also judges sternly. Alfonso knows this too, for his life demands ever more. How will wise Madremonte deal with him?
This intimate production for a small audience is built on an unusual principle: the actress herself becomes the stage. The entire story unfolds within a layered costume reminiscent of a traditional Colombian skirt - beneath strips, flaps, and opening elements, hidden in pockets and folds, are individual chapters of the story, puppets, and various instruments. The costume ceases to be clothing and becomes a gateway into a world of fantasy. The tale draws from Colombian mythology and employs principles of participatory theatre.
Suitable for children from 4 years old.
