Dunaj & Jana Vébrová

Dunaj returns to Tančírna after three years - this time with vocalist Jana Vébrová, who recently joined the ensemble.

The band was founded in 1986 in Brno and featured personalities such as Iva Bittová, Pavel Koudelka, Pavel Fajt, and Pavel Richter. Following the death of frontman Jiří Kolšovský in 1998, the group ceased operations, briefly returned in 2002, and from 2015 their repertoire was performed by the band Dunajská vlna. In 2019, Dunaj resumed activity with Vladimir Václavek (guitar, bass guitar, vocals), Josef Ostřanský (guitar, vocals), and Pavel Koudelka (drums, percussion, vocals).

That same year saw the premiere of the full-length documentary film "Dunaj vědomí" directed by David Butula (Gnomon Production / Czech Television Brno). In 2021-2022, the band performed with Iva Bittová, playing the repertoire of their 1988 debut album - more than 25 years later. In autumn 2022, Dunaj released the studio album "Za vodou".

In April 2025, the label Animal Music releases the new album "Mňau", recorded with Jana Vébrová.
