Architecture Day: Krnov - From Chair to Home
Sun, 4 Oct 2026 · 15:30
A lecture exploring the evolution of furniture from historical handcrafted pieces to mass production in contemporary interiors. Why did the design of cabinets, tables, and chairs change over time? How do these transformations relate to comfort, ergonomics, and cost? And why can long-term quality craftsmanship prove more worthwhile than quick and cheap solutions?
Furniture is presented as part of home architecture and as a result of craftsmanship, materials, and shifts in lifestyle. The lecture is led by instructors from Renova, a private centre for practical education.
