A guided tour exploring the possibilities, benefits, and challenges of building modifications and modern adaptations of folk architecture. The tour is led by architect Jan Kraut and ethnographer Radek Bryol.

The programme covers historic cottages in the Valašská Dědina open-air museum, the typology of traditional housing and farming in the region, reconstruction issues, and the technical specifics of traditional materials.

The event is co-organized by the Methodological Centre for Open-Air Museums and the Valašské Museum in Nature.

Valašské muzeum v přírodě in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm is the largest open-air museum in the Czech Republic. Its three sections - Dřevěné městečko, Valašská dědina and Mlýnská dolina - spread across dozens of hectares and bring together relocated and reconstructed vernacular buildings from the Wallachia region. The museum regularly hosts folk festivals, craft fairs and seasonal events throughout the year.
