Gardens Below Prague Castle

A guided walk through five baroque-style Italian gardens beneath Prague Castle, part of a UNESCO-protected site. Your guide Jana Stejskalová will lead you through the interconnected gardens and share stories about the area's history: where Laminger lived, the location of the original Písecká Gate, why the abbess sued the Lobkowicz lords, where communist party documents were hidden during World War II, why it was inappropriate for ladies to visit the vineyards, the famous "chlebíček affair", and which films were shot here.

Meeting point: in the garden area by the benches, Valdštejnská 158/14 (behind the Polish Embassy, heading from Malostranská). Tickets are purchased on-site according to the current price list. Children under 10 have free entry. The walk lasts 1.5 hours.

The terrain includes stairs - the walk is not suitable for strollers or people with reduced mobility. On-site tickets can only be purchased if capacity has not been reached; contact the organizer in advance. The organizer reserves the right to cancel the walk if there is insufficient interest - participants will be informed and payment refunded.
