Historical Flower Arranging. Lecture and Workshop

**Lecture and workshop – accompanying programme to the exhibition *Vase: Symbol of Life and Culture.***
The introductory lecture will present types of historical vases and flower arrangements from the Middle Ages to the early 20th century, as they appear in period images. Attention will also be given to the range of plants available in that era and examples of contemporary flower arranging in a historical interior. Following the lecture, there will be a guided tour of the exhibition.
In the workshop, participants will create their own flower arrangements for the historic building of the Museum of Decorative Arts under the guidance of the instructor. The programme is led by Ing. Lucie Bláhová, curator from the National Heritage Institute.
The entire programme lasts approximately 4 hours. A visit to the exhibition Vases: Symbol of Life and Culture is included in the ticket price. Participants are provided with water or tea.
