Epydemye 2026

Epydemye is a folk and folk-rock band that stands among the most distinctive acts on today's folk and singer-songwriter scene. For their album Kotlina, which tells the life stories of prominent figures from 20th-century Czechoslovak history, they won the Anděl Award in the folk category in 2015. Their 2019 album Milé děti was nominated for the Anděl. The album Prosklený nebe (2021), inspired by a residency in the Neratov church, was created under the production guidance of Dalibor Cidlinský and featuring musician Josef Štěpánek, as were the two previous albums. The band released their sixth studio album Dosebe in 2025, produced by Yarda Helešice at the Svárov and Barrandov Sound studios.

Epydemye began twenty years ago at folk competitions and festivals, gradually moving to the stages of rock and multi-genre festivals (Rock for People, Votvírák), and today they perform around eighty concerts a year. They have also recorded live concerts for Czech Television and Czech Radio, as well as several music videos.
