Architecture Day: Krnov - Chlupaček Villa

The villa was created by joining two symmetrical houses designed by architect Leopold Bauer. Renovations took place between 1924 and 1926 for the family of factory owner Alois Chlupaček. The work brought new spatial arrangements and carefully designed interiors emphasizing fluid movement between rooms, reflecting the comfort and personal taste of Chlupaček's wife.

Over the years, the building suffered damage from floods, most recently in 2024, and is now undergoing gradual restoration aimed at preserving its identity while sensitively adapting it for contemporary use.
