About the venue: Kaštan - Scéna Unijazzu

Kaštan – scéna Unijazzu is a multi-genre cultural club in the Břevnov district of Prague, run by the civic association Unijazz. Its main hall holds around one hundred visitors and hosts concerts, theatre performances for children and adults, lectures, and film screenings. Annual events include the Jazznění jazz festival, Bluesnění blues festival, and the Festival of Solitary Songwriters. The foyer and entrance hall are used for regular exhibitions of paintings, photographs, and documents.

Guitarist, singer and poet Vladimír Václavek has been a backbone of the Brno alternative scene since the 1980s - through Dunaj, Rale and Čikori as well as a solo career setting poetry to music. His collaboration with Iva Bittová on Bílé inferno (1997) remains one of the most celebrated records in Czech music.
