A joint exhibition by Ostrava painters Markéta Hermanová and Aleš Hudeček.

Hermanová focuses on landscape compositions from the Beroun region marked by traces of human presence, while Hudeček works with figure anatomy and space, blending Rococo and modernist elements.

About the venue: Galerie Dukla

Galerie Dukla opened in 2018 in the arcade of the former Dukla cinema on Hlavní třída in Ostrava-Poruba - the cinema ran from 1960 until it closed in 2002. The space is open around the clock: works of contemporary art are displayed in vitrines that once held film posters. Four exhibitions a year are complemented by workshops, lectures and the music series Limity hudby. The programme deliberately engages with the local Poruba context and favours site-specific projects.
