Musical Encounter with Cellist

A lecture with live music featuring cellist Nikita Ruzhavinskii - a graduate of the Moscow Conservatory and Brno's JAMU, and concertmaster of the Moravian Philharmonic.

In his presentation, he will showcase the cello in both modern and historical forms, demonstrating on both instruments how tone colour, playing style, and the perception of well-known compositions change. He will also explain why more and more performers are turning to period instruments and what the search for their original sound brings to contemporary musicians.
