Jakub Stanjura & Veronique - Author Reading / Concert

Writer Jakub Stanjura will visit Exil to present his work to date and future plans. His debut novel Srpny (2023) - a story about manipulation and gaslighting - became a bestseller after publication, received a theatrical adaptation and was translated into several languages. In October, his second novel Medúzy (2025) was released, which tells of complicated friendship and chronic intestinal disease, moving somewhere between psychological prose, body horror and mysterious detective fiction.

The author reading will be musically accompanied by cellist and singer Veronika Hložková with her solo project Veronique. The project is built on her voice and looping, through which distinctive songs emerge - both fragile and very intense at the same time.
