Karlštejn Wine Harvest Festival 2026

The Karlštejn Wine Harvest Festival takes place for the twenty-eighth time this year. This two-day celebration unfolds in the enclosed part of the town and on the castle itself - passing through the historic gate, visitors find themselves transported to the 14th-century medieval period.

Each day culminates in a ceremonial procession from the vineyards to the castle, led by Emperor Charles IV, his wife Elisabeth of Pomerania, and the imperial court. Along the route stand period stalls showcasing historical crafts, with tastings of burčák (young wine) and Karlštejn wines from the vineyards founded by Charles IV. The programme runs on the castle and in the town below until late evening and is designed for both children and adults.

Children under 15, visitors in historical costumes, and holders of disability passes (ZTP and ZTP/P) including their companions receive free admission.
