Petřská Quarter Inside and Out — Kostel sv. Petra na Poříčí, Prague

A guided walking tour exploring the history and transformations of the Petřská Quarter - a part of New Town that, despite its central location, remains somewhat overlooked by tourists. The route takes participants from historic churches through controversial interventions along Ludvík Svoboda Embankment to traces of vanished Vltava islands and old mills hidden behind ministry buildings and transport infrastructure that separates the quarter from the river.

The commentary focuses on urban transformations of the 1920s and 1930s, when the quarter acquired its characteristic functionalist character, and also covers post-war development. The walk lasts approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Meeting point is in front of the Church of St. Peter on Poříčí.

The organizer reserves the right to cancel the event for health reasons or unfavorable weather, with at least 24 hours' notice - in such cases, admission will be refunded in full. By attending, participants consent to photography.
