ANSWER_ring - mimoOs / Barbora Janák

ANSWER_ring is a movement performance by Barbora Janák in the production of mimoOs. Two performers find themselves in an imaginary ring - not against each other, but against questions that catch up with us faster than we can voice them: uncertainty, ecological crisis, pressure to engage, exhaustion, longing for meaning. Their distinct expressive worlds complement and collide with each other, creating tension that is both sensitive and physically powerful.

The performance lasts 50 minutes and is performed in Slovak and Czech. We alert audiences to loud music and light flashes; recommended age from 15 years.

Barbora Janák is a co-founder of mimoOs and works as a choreographer, educator, dancer, and producer. In addition to her own projects NO ON and Metamorphosis, she has choreographed the performances Emily, Hlas, Diptych samoty, Klinika Betty Fordovej (NUDE), and Hey Pookie! (DJGT Zvolen, A. Vrzgula). mimoOs is an independent artistic association focused on contemporary dance, dance theatre, and education, founded in 2016 by graduates of the Department of Dance Creation at VŠMU in Bratislava.
