Old Bubeneč

Old Bubeneč is one of Prague's best-preserved neighborhoods with a deep history connected to Stromovka, the royal hunting grounds that once served the leisure of rulers and shaped the life of the surrounding area. The rural character of Bubeneč survived even after wealthy Praguers began arriving from the 18th century seeking rest, gradually transforming the district's appearance - with them came tailors' pilgrimages, still remembered by the Na Slamníku inn. Although the late 19th century brought rapid development to Bubeneč, its core retained extraordinary charm despite interventions from the communist era and pressure from contemporary developers.
