Literary Rendez-vous - Thoreau & Farkašová: On the Time We Have
The next Literary Rendez-vous gathering will explore time - its value and how people reflect on their own lives. The discussion will centre on two books: "Layering of Time" by Etela Farkašová, which examines how people in different periods perceived and measured the value of time, and Henry David Thoreau's classic work "Walden", in which the author reflects on the meaning of work, everyday activities, and a life that need not be constantly productive.
The evening will be hosted by Adam Škrovan. You don't need to have read the books beforehand - excerpts will be provided to each participant on the spot.
Literary Rendez-vous is a series of informal gatherings about books and themes that literature opens up within us. Each meeting includes a brief introduction to the author and book, reading of excerpts, and open discussion.
