Villa Garden City of Strašnice — Tramvajová zastávka Vozovna Strašnice, Prague

At the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, Strašnice began transforming into a garden city. Picturesque Art Nouveau villas and Prague's first public baths were built here, but construction continued between the wars - Josef Gočár and Pavel Janák together designed the Masaryk Colony on Bylanská Street. Nearby, the Rondocubist Freedom Colony emerged, with much of it located in Vinohrady.

The walk concludes with an incredible story about a former director of the MÚZO enterprise from the 1980s.

📍 Meeting point: Vozovna Strašnice tram stop, corner of Starostrašnická/Krátká
