PROTIMLUVFEST at Fiducia — Fiducia Photography Gallery, Ostrava

A literary festival bringing together young voices of contemporary Moravian-Silesian poetry with poets and translators from Bosnia and Romania in a single evening.

The programme opens at 17:00 with Protimluvná trachta featuring Tomáš Herman, Beatrice Rychecká, and André Olszowski. From 18:30, poet and translator Adin Ljuca will present Bosnian poetry, and at 19:30 the evening concludes with a meeting featuring Romanian poet Claudiu Comartin.

The event is held in collaboration with ProtimluvFest.

About the venue: Fiducia Photography Gallery

Fotografická galerie Fiducia was founded in 2001 by photographers Roman Polášek and Martin Popelář, in the upper floor of Ostrava's Antikvariát a klub Fiducia. One of the few galleries in the Czech Republic devoted exclusively to photography, it covers monographic shows of Czech and international photographers alongside multimedia installations and new media. The gallery deliberately makes room for young artists and art-school students, not just established names. The Ministry of Culture grant commission named it the best gallery project in the country in 2010, 2011 and 2013.
