ZYNIC is the solo project of Nuremberg-based musician H.P. Zymandel, working in synthpop, electropop and futurepop. He started out as a keyboardist and backing vocalist in various bands before years of analogue synth experiments led him to strike out on his own. His debut album Fire Walk With Me (2011) was produced by Olaf Wollschläger (known for his work with Mesh, In Strict Confidence and And One) and quickly found an audience in the European electronic scene. Three further albums - Blindsided (2013), Neon Oblivion (2017) and Best Before End (2022) - have steadily grown his following.
ZYNIC released the single 'With or without you', his latest release so far on Bandcamp.
In September 2025, the single 'Everyday Is Like Sunday' was released, which fans received very positively.
In June 2023, ZYNIC released the remix EP 'Extend the End' with remixes by Frozen Plasma and others.
The album 'Best Before End' was released on May 13, 2022, and critics called it the peak of Zynic's career so far.
