Zatrest is a punk band from Chomoutov near Olomouc, formed in January 1995 by a group of teenagers from the same street who picked up instruments to beat the boredom. They play straight-up British-style '77 punk - melodic, no-frills, and unapologetically old-school. Over thirty years they have released five albums and a compilation, with their latest record "Vystřelte mě na Měsíc" (PHR Records, 2022) out on CD and vinyl. Since 2022 they also organise the annual Zatrest Fest at the TJ Sokol Chomoutov football ground.
Zatrest Fest vol. 5 is planned for Saturday, June 20, 2026 at the TJ Sokol football stadium in Chomoutov.
On June 21, 2025, the 4th edition of Zatrest Fest took place in Chomoutov with bands XIII. Století, The Fialky, Vision Days, Tragedis, Muerti and others.
The third edition of Zatrest Fest took place on June 15, 2024 in Chomoutov; frontman Lukáš Dostál estimated attendance at over two hundred visitors.
In February 2022, Zatrest released their fifth studio album "Vystřelte mě na Měsíc" on the PHR Records label on CD and vinyl record.
