William Kentridge

William Kentridge is a South African artist born in 1955 in Johannesburg. He is best known for his charcoal-drawn animated films created through a process of drawing, erasing, and redrawing, as well as for theatre productions, prints, and tapestries. His work frequently engages with themes of apartheid, colonialism, and collective memory.
