Vlčnovjanka is a Moravian brass band from Vlčnov, performing in traditional Slovácko folk costume. Trumpeter Antonín Koníček founded it in 1977; since 1990 it has been led by trombonist Pavel Nevařil of the Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic in Zlín. The repertoire centres on arrangements of Moravian-Slovak folk songs alongside original polkas and orchestral pieces. The band is a regular guest on Czech Television and radio, and has released numerous CDs and DVDs.
