Vítězslav Novák (1870–1949) was a Czech composer, a pupil of Antonín Dvořák, and a key figure of Czech musical late Romanticism and Impressionism. He is known for his choral works, symphonic poems, and songs, including choral ballads such as Ranoša and Vražedný milý.
