About

Věra Chalupníčková was a Czech architect and photographer who worked alongside her brother Miroslav to document panoramic views of Czech towns. The siblings also recorded rural folk architecture and Prague's historic churches. Their 1948 photographs of Slaný - wide composite panoramas of exceptional technical quality - capture the city just before socialist reconstruction reshaped it.
