Valar is a Slovak medieval folk band from the Orava region, founded in 2017. The five-piece group plays authentic period instruments - davul drum, medieval bagpipes, Irish whistles, the Viking kravik lyre and Irish bouzouki - evoking the atmosphere of medieval battles and tavern celebrations. They regularly perform at medieval and folk festivals across the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
Valar performed on March 21, 2026 at Randal Club in Bratislava together with the band Tempus - their first joint performance in Slovakia.
Valar were confirmed as performers at the Medieval Night festival in Brno, where they will perform for the first time.
The album Na slávu a bohatstvo! was made available on Bandcamp for streaming and downloading in high quality.
