Václav Uhlíř (born 1954 in Hradec Králové) is a Czech organist, organologist and music educator. He studied at the Music Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague under professors Jiří Reinberger and Milan Šlechta, and has served as organist and choirmaster at the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Hradec Králové since 1970. His discography runs to nearly 30 titles, and he is the guarantor of the Vzkříšené varhany (Resurrected Organs) project, dedicated to documenting and presenting restored historic organs across the Hradec Králové region. In 2008 Pope Benedict XVI awarded him the Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice cross for his decades of service to the organs of the diocese.
In December 2024, a new video of the Vzkříšené varhany project was released on YouTube, featuring Václav Uhlíř playing the organ in Vrchlabí.
In September 2024, the Vzkříšené varhany project released new recordings from churches in Dolní Kalná, Chyjice, and Markvartice with Václav Uhlíř at the organ.
The Vzkříšené varhany Festival 2023 included 10 concerts on historical instruments throughout the Königgrätz region.
In 2020, the Vzkříšené varhany project was created, with Václav Uhlíř as its guarantor; the project maps and presents restored historical organs of the Königgrätz diocese.
In 2008, Pope Benedict XVI awarded Václav Uhlíř the papal honor Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice for his long-standing care of organs in the Königgrätz diocese.
