Tomáš Štěpán is a Czech woodcarver and the originator of the Peklem project at Houska Castle. He has worked with wood since his youth, and his passion for Dante's Divine Comedy led him to conceive a moving mechanical hell carved from linden wood - a work with few parallels in Europe. He brought the project to life together with puppeteer Jan Kopecký and castle castellan Miroslav Konopásek.
