TIP TOP Q

About

Tip Top-Q is a rock band from Chropyně in the Kroměříž district of Moravia, active since the late 1980s. They describe their sound simply as bigbít - the Czech term for beat rock - though southern rock and classic rock'n'roll run through their original material. The band is rooted in the Zlín and Olomouc regions and twice won the Czech Radio chart competition "Hledáme hvězdy" (We're Looking for Stars), in June 1995 and January 1996. Guitarist and bandleader Milan Vaculík is the main songwriter.

    In January 2019, a new group TTQ emerged from the band Tip Top-Q, which took over part of the lineup and focuses on original compositions.

  • 2019

    The original Tip Top-Q switched to occasional performances; fans were notified that the older Facebook page now serves only as a memorial.
