The Teachers

About

The Teachers are an amateur rock band from Lanžhot in South Moravia, formed in 1993 as a one-off joke at the Břeclav grammar school ball - a group of teachers played a few songs and never really stopped. Their setlist is anchored in 1960s rock and beat (Beatles, Rolling Stones, Deep Purple, Olympic), but they also draw on Czech and international guitar-driven hits from later decades, from Katapult and Lucie to ZZ Top and Nazareth. They play entirely live, no backing tracks, and over three decades have shared stages with acts including Chinaski, Čechomor and Vojta Dyk.
