The Last Shaman (2016) is a documentary directed by Raz Degan, following James Freeman, a young American diagnosed with severe depression who travels to the Amazon jungle seeking healing. There he encounters ayahuasca and indigenous shamanic traditions. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.
