Sam Goku is the alias of Munich-based DJ and producer Robin Wang, who grew up in Germany with Chinese parents and spent a year living in China. That dual background feeds directly into his music, which weaves East Asian instrumentation and pentatonic scales into club-oriented house, techno and ambient. He releases on Permanent Vacation and Dekmantel, and hosts the monthly Yellow River Radio show on Munich's Radio 80000.
Sam Goku released the EP Yulun on the Berlin label Paryìa (February 27, 2026) and on the same date gave an interview to Blitzcast 030 for the Munich club Blitz.
In January 2026, the EP Explorations 03 was released on Permanent Vacation, the fourth installment of a series dedicated to experimental club house and techno.
In September 2025, the EP Explorations 02 was released on Permanent Vacation, in which Sam Goku intertwines elements of dub and ambient with house and techno.
In April 2025, Sam Goku launched a new series Explorations on Permanent Vacation as a space for experimenting with various approaches to dance music production.
In June 2024, Sam Goku released the EP Radiants on Dekmantel - his debut on this label, which critics called one of the strongest works of the year.
